FAIRMONT JUNIOR – SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL HOSTED A VETERANS DAY PROGRAM ON MONDAY. KEYNOTE SPEAKER JEFF HAGEN TALKED ABOUT HIS MILITARY EXPERIENCES WHICH INCLUDED BEING PRESENT IN GERMANY DURING AN HISTORIC MOMENT…THE BERLIN WALL COMING DOWN.

JEFF’S UNIT WAS SHORTLY THEREAFTER TO BE DECOMMISSIONED BUT THEN IRAQ INVADED KUWAIT AND HE BECAME PART OF OPERATION DESERT STORM. HE TALKED OF HIS EXPERIENCE IN DRIVING TRUCK AND SOME OF HIS CARGO INCLUDING TANKS , TRANSPORTS,POWS AND MILITARY POLICE.

GREG MADAY , A VETERAN AND MEMBER OF THE FACULTY AT FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL OFFERED SOME COMMENTS ABOUT VETERANS AND THANKED THEM FOR THEIR SERVICE.

GREG SERVED TWO DEPLOYMENTS- ONE IN ITALY AND THEN BECAME A PART OF IRAQI FREEDOM.

ALSO A PART OF MONDAY’S PROGRAM WAS THE FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRA, CHOIR, GIRLS ENSEMBLE AND MILITARY HONOR GUARD.
