TRUMAN — The Truman City Council discussed economic development, public works and the 2027 budget and tax levy Tuesday. The council is expected to set its preliminary 2027 budget and levy at its September 21 meeting. In other business, the council approved increasing the employee travel and training per diem to 63 dollars, approved a roughly 47-thousand-500-dollar quote for a new public works truck and set the city cleanup day for September 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.
