Wednesday evening at 6:23 emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a one-vehicle accident on Highway 169 north of Winnebago. A 2014 Chevy Equinox driven by Reyna Maria Cardona, 19, of Winnebago, was southbound on US 169 when the vehicle struck a deer.
Cardona was transported UHD in Blue Earth for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. She was wearing a seat belt and road conditions were dry according to the State Patrol accident report.
