FAIRMONT 74 REDWOOD VALLEY 70

The Martin County West Mavericks boys basketball team got the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Section 3AA, South Sub-Section playoffs.

Martin County West will play host to the No. 5-seeded Fairmont Cardinals in a 7 p.m. sub-section quarterfinal game Saturday night in Sherburn.

Doors will open to the public at 6:15 p.m. Saturday night.

No regular-season passes will be accepted at the door.

The cost will be $7 per adult and $5 per student.

The winner between the Mavericks and Cardinals advances to play either No. 1-seeded St. James Area or No. 8-seeded Windom Area in a 6 p.m. sub-section semifinal Thursday, March 7, at a site to be determined.

The Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain Jaguars boys basketball team received the No. 6 seed for the upcoming Section 2A, South Sub-Section tournament.

The Jaguars will play host to the No. 11-seeded Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs in a 7 p.m. play-in round contest Thursday night in Northrop.

The winner between the Jaguars and Bulldogs advances to play No. 3-seeded Mountain Lake Area in a 7 p.m. sub-section quarterfinal Monday, March 4, in Mountain Lake.
