THE FAIRMONT AREA SCHOOL BOARD ON TUESDAY HELD THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR THE NEW YEAR. THE OFFICERS STAYED THE SAME WITH RUFUS RODRIGUEZ,PRESIDENT; NICOLE GREEN, VICE PRESIDENT; DAN BROOKENS, CLERK AND JULIE LAUE AS TREASURER. SCHOOL BOARD COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS REMAINED THE SAME. THE BOARD HEARD AN UPDATE FROM SARAH MITTELSTADT OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS EDUCATION COOPERATIVE AND THE ARISE ACADEMY. THE BOARD APPROVED THE 2019-20 REVISED BUDGET, SOME POLICIES WERE REVIEWED AND APPROVED AND PERSONNEL ITEMS DEALT WITH.
