Bethany Lutheran College post player Hanna Geistfeld was selected as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference’s women’s basketball player of the week.

Geistfeld, a former Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther student athlete, matched her career-high by pouring in 31 points during the Vikings’ victory over Saint Benedict.

The Truman native connected on 11 of 18 field goals to complement grabbing seven boards.

The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated by conference coaches and sports information directors before being selected by the SIDs.
