Voters in Truman approved to abolish the city’s Public Utilities Commission Tuesday.
There were 125 votes in favor of the abolition, while 40 votes were against the measure.
The Truman City Council decided in late May to put the fate of the PUC in the hands of voters.
With the three-member PUC abolished, the city council will assume its responsibilities.
