Faribault County: 3 cases, one prior case currently hospitalized.

Ages: 54, 60, 77. 209 confirmed cases. 32 active. 177 recovered.

WATONWAN COUNTY AT LAST REPORT HAS 557 CONFIRMED CASES. 8 ACTIVE. 1 CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED . 545 OUT OF ISOLATION AND 4 COVID RELATED DEATHS.

The Minnesota Department of Health on Sunday reported 1,732 new cases of the coronavirus and 17 deaths in the last day.

That update shows the total number of cases in Minnesota at 122,812, including more than 32,200 in Hennepin County. There have been 2,234 deaths since the pandemic began.

Of the deaths reported Sunday, 14 were residents of long-term care facilities.

There were about 326 new cases per 100,000 people in Minnesota over the past two weeks, which ranks 18th in the country for new cases per capita, according to figures compiled Saturday by The COVID Tracking Project. The death toll is the 24th highest in the country overall and the 30th highest per capita at 40.5 deaths per 100,000 people.

Iowa reported nearly 1,000 more coronavirus cases Sunday, and the state’s rate of positive cases remains high.

The state reported 910 new cases of COVID-19 and 12 new deaths as of Sunday morning to give Iowa 107,057 cases and 1,538 deaths since the pandemic began, according to Iowa’s online virus tracker.

The state’s rate of new cases per 100,000 residents over the past two weeks registered at 456.16 and ranked eighth-highest among all the states on Saturday, according to an Associated Press analysis of data from Johns Hopkins University

State data also shows 15 counties with a 14-day average positivity rate of more than 15%, the level at which Gov. Kim Reynolds allows school districts to apply to the state to send students home for online learning temporarily. Those counties are Harrison, Sioux, Delaware, Plymouth, Carroll, Taylor, Monroe, Osceola, Emmet, Crawford, Decatur, Lyon, Humboldt, Woodbury and Cass counties.

The seven-day rolling average of the positivity rate in Iowa has risen over the past two weeks from 18.17% on Oct. 3 to 25.65% on Saturday.
