HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES OF FARIBAULT AND MARTIN COUNTIES REPORTS 14 Day COVID-19 Case Rate

Each week the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) publishes a 14-day COVID-19 case rate for each county based on the cumulative number of cases, based on date of specimen collection, reported over the 14-day reporting period. Today (11/5/20) MDH released data for the period of time which covered 10/11 – 10/24. The case rate in Faribault County remained the same at 36.70. The case rate in Martin County decreased to 30.05.

Martin County: 3 new cases, including a 9 year old, none currently listed as hospitalized. 2 prior reported cases currently listed as hospitalized.

TOTAL CONFIRMED CASES 673. ACTIVE 55. RECOVERED 600.

Faribault County is reporting zero new cases .

3 prior reported cases currently listed as hospitalized.

TOTAL CONFIRMED CASES 287. ACTIVE 44. RECOVERED 243.

WATONWAN COUNTY REPORTS; The 14-day COVID-19 Case Rate by County has been updated to reflect the time period of 10/11-10/24.

Watonwan County’s rate is 30.07 which is a 10.02 increase from last week.

ONE NEW CASE REPORTED. TOTAL CONFIRMED 612. ACTIVE 26. CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED 1. 582 OUT OF ISOLATION.

Minnesota Health Officials reported 3,956 new coronavirus cases and 25 more deaths.According to Minnesota Department of Health a total of 2,555 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 1,777 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 164,865 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began in March.  Of those 137,864 people no longer need to self isolate.

The State of Iowa has set another new record for the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and for new cases reported in a single day.  The deaths of 20 more Iowans are also being reported.The state is reporting 4,562 new positive tests for the coronavirus.  That is a record number for a single day.  A total of 140,609 Iowans have now tested positive for the coronavirus, of them 97,926 are considered recovered by the state.A total of over 1 million Iowans have now been tested for the coronavirus. set yet another new record for COVID-19 hospitalizations as 839 Iowans are now hospitalized with the Coronavirus.  There are currently 189 patients in the ICU, with 60 on ventilators.
