Community Health and Human Services of Faribault and Martin Counties reported 3 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus today.  All 3 cases were in Faribault County.

In Faribault County, the latest cases are a 44 year old, a 51 year old and a 61 year old.  All are currently isolating and recovering at home.

The number of confirmed cases in Faribault County is at 78, with 7 active cases with one of those cases currently hospitalized.

The number of confirmed cases in Martin County remains at 198, with 13 active cases.

 

WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 298 confirmed cases. 14 active.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Thursday 745 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.  The total number of cases is 53,692.

There have been 5 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the death total at 1,594.  Deaths among cases that resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,219.

As of 11am on Thursday, 298 people were hospitalized, with 141 in ICU’s.

A total of 46,965 people have recovered statewide and long longer require isolation.

The most current numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 15 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and another 634 people have tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of positive tests to 43,778.

The new numbers reflect testing reported over the last 24 hours between 10am Wednesday and 10aThursday.

The data shows there have been 854 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far, of those deaths, 456 were residents of long term care facilities.

There are 237 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state, a decrease of 9 from the previous day and 76 of those patients are in intensive care, with 31 on ventilators.

Of the people who have tested positive for COVID-19, 31741 have recovered.
