The Minnesota Department of Health reported Wednesday 542 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in Minnesota is 71,236.
There have been 14 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 1,793. Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,325.
As of 11am Wednesday, there were 304 people hospitalized, with 134 in intensive care.
A total of 64,374 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.
The Iowa Department of Public Health’s website shows 13 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 871 new cases of the virus have been diagnosed.
The total number of positive tests is up to 57,893.
