The annual Fairmont Fireworks display is set for the night of Friday, July 5th. The event is set for dusk, beginning approximately 10:00 to 10:15 p.m. over the west side of Sisseton Lake. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., a salute at the top of every hour will be fired as a countdown to the show.
Boaters are reminded to keep 500 feet away from the west point shoreline of Sisseton Lake to avoid fallout from shells. The trails on the west side of the lake will be closed at 8:00 a.m. Thursday to allow for the safe set-up of the show. Do not cross barriers or tape in this area. This will be the 30th consecutive year the display will be conducted by members of the Fairmont Fire Department.
