Isaac Sheard, a senior at Fairmont High School and a key member of its Robotics Team, was recognized during the Minnesota State High School League Robotics Tournament held at Williams Arena last Saturday. He was honored as a member of the 2024 Robotics All State Team, specifically for his expertise in programming. Out of over 200 robotics teams statewide, only three programming students were selected for this distinction, highlighting Sheard’s remarkable skill and dedication. Throughout his four-year tenure with the robotics team, Isaac has been instrumental in various capacities. Serving as the programming lead, robot driver, and a team captain, he has played integral roles in guiding the team to success. Moreover, his contributions extended beyond technical aspects, as he actively participated in fundraising and outreach initiatives, significantly bolstering Team 2847’s endeavors within the community.

Following graduation, Sheard will attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to study aerospace engineering beginning this fall.
