Four people were injured when a van and an SUV crashed Sunday evening at an intersection between St. James and Mountain Lake.

Flor Limones, 70, of Butterfield, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country south on Watonwan County Road 5 at 8:10 p.m. and was at the intersection with Highway 60 when the van and a westbound 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander collided, the State Patrol said.

Limones was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

The SUV’s driver, Wade Anthony Nelson, 58, and two of his passengers, Erik Nelson, 33, of Sioux Falls, and Jackie Ann Nelson, 63, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital in St. James.

All occupants in both vehicles had their seat belts on. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
