Due to an increase in testing demand, Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont will relocate the COVID-19 testing location from Urgent Care to the main hospital entrance, effective 10 a.m. today. The testing location is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
“We will continue to evaluate the testing volumes to determine where testing will take place in the future,” says Amy Long, administrator of Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. “As we move into fall and winter, weather conditions also may affect the testing location.”
The hospital entrance is on the south side of the medical center. Patients referred for testing can enter off Johnson Street and follow signs to the testing location. Patients will drive under the canopy, where a staff member will administer the test. Patients should not exit their vehicles. There is no charge for the test.
