(Windom) Two people from Fairmont were injured in a motorcycle accident late on Sunday evening. Trent Johnson was riding a 2007 Kawasaki and Donna Johnson was on a 2006 Honda Cruiser. They were travelling northbound on highway 71 when they struck a deer. Both were transported to Sanford in Sioux Falls with serious injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet. Windom police department, Windom ambulance, Cottonwood County Sheriff’s office and Jackson County Sheriff’s office all responded to the scene. Due to this accident the DAV of MN Chapter 32 benefit ride that was going to take place on Saturday has been postponed.
