The Martin County West Mavericks look to improve to 11-and-1 tonight when they host Mankato Loyola in their Homecoming match in Trimont. The Mavericks are coming off a win over G-H-E-C/ML-Truman Tuesday night. Their only loss this season came last Saturday to Murray County Central in the Jackson County Central Tournament. Loyola enters tonight’s match with a 15-and-2 record. The match is both a conference and section matchup. Dan Brookens will have the call tonight on 101-point-5, The Emoji.
Fairmont, who is 6-8 on the season, will host Pipestone Area tonight. The Cardinals will travel to Jackson County Central Tuesday before heading to Trimont Wednesday to face Martin County West for Cancer Night. The event will include a silent auction, bake sale and other fundraisers benefiting MCW Ribbons. Money raised stays in the community to help local people fight cancer.
Meanwhile, M-L-G-H-E-C-Truman will travel to Madelia tonight, looking for its first win of the season.
