Community Health and Human Services of Faribault and Martin Counties report:11 new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases to report today. Martin County: 10 new cases, two currently hospitalized. MDH will be reporting 8 new cases today. Two of these cases were reported by MDH on an earlier date but found to reside in Martin County so they were transferred to our case list. FAIRMONT SCHOOLS-HYBRID MODE

Fairmont Junior/Senior High School will return to a hybrid learning model today. Superintendent Joe Brown said the Minnesota Department of Health has determined that Fairmont High School is eligible to return to a hybrid model today, with the elementary school possibly returning to a hybrid model on Oct. 26. The regional support team will continue to work with Faribault and Martin County Human Services to monitor and evaluate the local situation, so the recommendations could change depending on the impact of COVID on the school community. The transition to hybrid mode will also allow extracurricular activities to resume.

Community Health and Human Services of Martin and Faribault County has reported 4 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus. The 4 new cases were reported in Faribault County, their ages are 18, 59, 76 and 79.  None of the new cases are currently hospitalized, but one prior reported case is hospitalized.  The County’s total number of confirmed cases is 194, with 27 active cases. No new cases were reported in Martin County.  Three prior reported cases are hospitalized.  The total number of confirmed cases in Martin County is 557, with 32 active cases.
